This site is dedicated to the memory of Michael Burgess.

My dad was 40 when he died of SUDEP (Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy), it's a rare complication of epilepsy that not many people realise can happen. My target in life, and in his memory is to raise awareness of this and possibly even find a way to prevent it in the future. Here's a bit about my father - He was born in Bristol on the 9th April 1968. He grew up in Yate and attended Chipping Sodbury School. After school he became a mechanic and then joined up to the Glosters regiment. At 24 he ended up being medically discharged from the job he loved. He became ill when out on training. Later in 1994 he suffered two horrendous strokes that left him with short-term memory loss.
